The Panama pavilion is characterized by a fully immersive experience with panels on the walls and floor.
It is not just about displaying beautiful images of this tropical paradise: after the analog woody entryway, you will literally walk on digital sands and be surrounded by artists engaging traditional dances under the blue sky.
To add a zest of Latin American fun, the ceiling is made over 100 colorful discs that spin, generating a mesmerizing optical trick that makes adults and kids smile with surprise. Mirrors on 3 sides enhance the illusion and the wow effect!
The C-shaped space around the visitor experience is a very condensed yet ergonomic backyard space hosting all the technology for the displays and the motors for the spinning ceiling.
In front of the pavilion is a coordinated information area with stamp corner and relax space. The three-dimensionally curved counters and storage units on the wall were built in the furniture maker`s workshop with come tricks to optimize the usage of material. (for those few who may be interested in this nerdy topic, let me know, and I can share more details)
The Panama pavilion is on one level and consists of roughly 50 m2 for the visitor`s experience and 14 m2 for the general services area.
